Yoga Farts

There is a very old saying in India; ‘If the brain and belly are healthy then a man is wealthy; meaning; when your mind is at peace and there is nothing ailing your stomach, then you are fit and calm’.

Accordingly, we have embraced the Pawanamuktasana, – Yogic Wind-Relieving Pose, as an essential conclusion to our morning office huddle.

The word “Pawanamuktasana” consists of two words, ‘Pawan’ which means wind and ‘Mukta’, which translates to release. As the name suggests this asana helps in releasing the accumulated wind in our stomach and intestines.

Pro Tip #1:

When unwanted wind or gas is released, it helps the body move freely and easily and thus brings the benefits to every pose.

When the resultant, gagging green gas cloud begins to overpower the building, having a body that is free-moving and fast is A GOOD THING!

I, myself, have not had to move quite so quickly as the morning after Hamish excelled himself at the Black Isle Brewery Jocktoberfest.
